The Spanish Wine Scholar program sets the industry standard as the most in-depth and comprehensive certification program devoted entirely to the rich and diverse wines of Spain.

Designed specially for dedicated wine enthusiasts and industry professionals, the SWS provides the keys to understanding the nuanced appellations, viticultural marvels, art of winemaking, historic landmarks and rich traditions that make Spanish wine a global benchmark.​

Graduates will receive a certificate, and lapel pin, as well as the use of the SWS post-nominal initials, symbolizing advanced level proficiency and industry wide respect.​

Course Prerequisites: No prerequisite required.
Textbooks: Manual provided at first class.
Material and Supplies: 6 ISO tasting glasses or equivalent (not provided).
Student Evaluation: The examination consists of a 100 question multiple choice paper. A score of 75% or higher is required to pass.
