Italy is home to over 400 appellations. Italian Wine Essentials (IWE) introduces you to 39 of the most well-known, divided into three vibrant modules: Wines of Northern Italy, Central Italy, and Southern Italy.
Each class highlights the viticultural and vinification techniques behind the most important Italian ‘need to know’ wine styles. Each wine is presented within a regional and cultural context while landmarks and traditional cuisine are highlighted to complete the curriculum.

EXAM: In person
TUITION:
$620 for ICCO members, $670 for non-ICCO members

Course Prerequisites: No prerequisite required.
Textbooks: Manual available for pick up prior to class.
Material and Supplies: 6 ISO tasting glasses or equivalent (not provided).
Student Evaluation: The examination consists of a 50 question multiple choice paper. A score of 60% or higher is required to pass.
