The Italian Wine Scholar is offered in conjunction with the Wine Scholar Guild and due to the depth and complexity of Italian wines, the program has been split into two courses: Unit 1 and Unit 2. This course is only Unit 2, which covers Central and Southern Italy.  Unit 1 covers Northern Italy.  Please note, that the units can be taken in any order.

We are adopting a hybrid model, with theory sessions being held on Zoom and in-person tastings and exams.  We are excited that we have found a location that will accommodate social distancing

Location: tasting sessions will be held at Vij’s Restaurant.

Dates:

• Zoom classroom sessions: Tuesdays 6-8pm Oct 20*, 27, Nov 3, 10, 17

• Tasting sessions: 12-2pm, Saturdays, Nov 7, 21  

• Exam: 12-2pm Saturday: Dec 12

*October 20 will consist of a 1hr orientation session to the program including on-line learning modules, learning objectives, session format and content and exam.

Student Evaluation: The Unit 2 examination consists of a 100 question multiple choice paper. A score of 75% or higher is required to pass
